Job description

About us

Palmstreet is a live shopping platform for collectibles. We're backed by top-tier venture investors in the state and have grown rapidly since launch.

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Mexico-based UX designer for Palmstreet. This is a hands on execution role: you'll work from our existing product, design system and PRDs, and turn them into polished, ready-to-build screens.

We're prioritizing speed and follow through over years of experience. If you're early in your career, move quickly, and can take a clear brief and run with it with minimal hand holding, this role is for you.

You'll report to the Design Lead and work closely with our Product Designer and PM.

What you'll work on

  • Designing UI & UX solutions for new features

  • Applying our existing design system consistently on new features, flagging gaps rather than inventing new patterns solo

What we're looking for

  • Based in Mexico, fluent in Spanish, comfortable speaking and writing in English day-to-day; our team, meetings, and tools all run in English

  • Product design (UI/UX) experience, with a portfolio of shipped app or web work

  • Comfortable working independently from a Figma design system and written brief

  • Fast, reliable, and communicative. This role is judged on shipping speed and follow-through as much as polish

  • Bonus: experience with marketplaces, live shopping, or fintech/payment flows

Location & hours

  • Remote, must be based in Mexico

  • Contract, with hours varying by project needs. We expect around ~10 hours/week to start, with some weeks closer to 20 hours as the projects ramps up

  • Flexible hours; some overlap with US Central time for check-ins

Compensation

  • MXN $200–300/hour

  • Paid as a contractor; no benefits included

Application process

Please share your portfolio along with 2-3 examples of work you've shipped (screens, flows, or case studies). We'll follow up to schedule an initial call.
