Job Description
The Aerodrome Reporting Officer (ARO) role supports the Sodexo Aerodrome operations, providing support to the condition of an aerodrome (airport) to ensure safe aircraft operations.
This is a dual role also working within the Service Attendant team in addition to undertaking the duties of an ARO.
Responsibilities
•Passenger checks ins
•Compiling manifests and other admin duties
•Aircraft Ground support
•Facility Cleaning and maintaining aerodrome buildings and grounds
•Support the transport team with running bus services for the mine site
•Support airport activities within the aerodrome in accordance with CASR 139 and Manual of Standards (MOS) part 139
•Support the safety, security and serviceability of the airport
•Conducting daily serviceability inspections
•Monitoring and recording wildlife activity and providing wildlife dispersal where required
•Organising and overseeing terminal maintenance duties such as weeding of the runway areas, cleaning PAPI lights and removal of Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
•Updating and record keeping of aerodrome manuals and related documents
•Liasing with stakeholders to provide up to date information regarding delays, incidents, hazards and service delivery
•Any other duties/tasks as reasonably requested by Site leadership
Qualifications
•Current Aerodrome Reporting Officer licence
•(AROC) Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate
•Forklift ticket and bus driver qualifications (HR licence and a PTD Authorisation) (desirable)
•CASA Radio Certificate
•National Police Clearance (or the ability to obtain one)
•Able to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug & alcohol testing
•Dangerous Goods Certificate
