Job Description
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As Commercial Manager within Tech, you will play a critical role in shaping how H&M Group creates commercial value through technology. You lead with confidence in a complex and fast‑moving environment, balancing long‑term direction with hands‑on execution.
You will combine strategic perspective with operational presence, creating clarity, momentum and results even when priorities evolve and conditions are uncertain.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and developing a global commercial team with a calm, inclusive and trust‑based leadership style
- Creating structure and clear priorities in an environment characterised by change and ambiguity
- Supporting strategic sourcing, vendor selection and commercial negotiations for key technology agreements
- Ensuring cost efficiency, value optimisation and strong commercial governance
- Working closely with product, design and technology teams to turn strategy into execution
- Actively following up supplier performance and stepping in operationally when needed
- Developing and improving commercial and procurement ways of working to support future business needs
WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You will lead a global team of 14 commercial professionals based in Sweden and India, working across commercial advisory, software asset management and commercial specialisation within Tech.
You collaborate closely with Tech leadership, product and design teams and key stakeholders across H&M Group, as well as a broad network of global suppliers and partners. You report to the Head of Commercial & Procurement and operate in a context where strong leadership, clear communication and sound judgement are essential.
WHO YOU ARE
You are a secure and pragmatic leader who creates trust through clarity, presence and sound decision‑making. You are comfortable leading in uncertainty and enjoy navigating complexity without losing momentum.
You bring strategic height without prestige and thrive in roles where you can combine leadership with hands‑on involvement.
We believe you have:
- A relevant academic background within business, economics, engineering or a related field
- Extensive experience within tech sourcing, procurement or vendor management in complex organisations
- Proven experience of leading teams through change with a steady and people‑centred approach
- Strong commercial and financial acumen, including building business cases and managing vendor frameworks
- Experience working with SaaS, multi‑vendor setups and complex contract structures
- A pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset with the ability to move between strategy and operations
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to align stakeholders at all levels
- Fluency in English, both written and spoken
