Apprentice Auto Electrician | Dawson Mine
Dawson Mine is seeking motivated and safety-focused individuals to join our team as Apprentice Auto Electricians. This is an exciting opportunity for Moura and Banana Shire residents to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience maintaining and repairing some of the largest and most advanced mining equipment in Australia.
Job Description
During this 4-year apprenticeship, you’ll be working alongside experienced tradespeople, you will complete a nationally recognised qualification while developing the skills needed for a rewarding career in the mining industry.
Apprentice Auto Electrician, you will:
- Assist with the maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems on mobile mining equipment
- Learn to diagnose faults using specialised diagnostic tools and equipment
- Support planned and breakdown maintenance activities
- Develop skills in reading electrical schematics and technical documentation
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and environmental standards
- Work collaboratively with experienced tradespeople and operational teams
- Complete all apprenticeship and training requirements successfully
Qualifications
- Have a genuine interest in automotive electrical systems and heavy equipment
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety
- Are reliable, motivated and eager to learn
- Have good problem-solving and communication skills
- Can work effectively in a team environment
- Hold a current Driver's Licence or are working towards obtaining one
- Finishing Year 12 this year and looking for your next career opportunity
Previous mechanical, automotive or electrical experience is advantageous but not essential.
