Job Description
**Please note this is a hybrid remote position with occasional travel. The preferred candidate will live in the Boston area, come into the Waltham office 1-2 days per week, and work remotely otherwise.
The Associate Director / Senior Manager, Immunology Insights (HLH) will help commercial teams understand the factors that drive emapalumab use. They will develop comprehensive performance narratives for leadership and develop relationships with cross-functional partners to inform their perspectives. They will inform data strategy in collaboration with our Commercial Data Management team. They will perform ad hoc analyses against raw data and design dashboard improvements for field and sales executives. They will maintain relationships across sales, marketing, finance, and market access, pulling insights from these critical functions into their overall narrative.
The role reports to the Director, Commercial Insights & Analytics, as part of the Strategic Capabilities & Operations (SCO) team for North America. The SCO team focuses on elevating the customer experience, internally and externally, through integration across sales, marketing, and market access. The Commercial Insights & Analytics team is responsible for performance reporting, competitive intelligence, and forecasting across all brands/therapeutic areas in North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically, with an interest in developing alliances cross-functionally
- Communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely in presentations with a goal of eventually presenting to senior levels of the organization
- Design and manage improvements to dashboards that provide KPIs and customer insights to field and leadership teams
- Inform and evolve thinking for data needs, KPI definition, and data mart requirements
- Produce regular reports, presentations, and executive summaries to communicate findings, recommendations, and implications for the organization
- Construct and cohesive performance narratives that clearly articulate trends in the context of potential root causes and counter-measures
- Incorporate Competitive Intelligence dynamics in Situational Assessment readouts and proactively alert commercial leadership to changes and their implications
- Lead primary market research (ATU, message testing, etc) projects to inform brand strategy and incorporate findings into performance narratives as appropriate.
- Review and update HCP and Account segmentation to ensure field alignment with market and strategy dynamics.
- Advise LRP, Budget, and F-cycle forecasting models
- Conduct ad-hoc analytics using raw and transformed data sets
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required
- 5+ years of experience in the pharma/biotech industry in a commercial or consulting role
- 2+ years working with pharmaceutical data sets including claims, DDD, and 867/852 data
- Prior experience in primary research required - lead experience preferred
- Mature SQL and/or Python data analytics skills, with comfort accessing data across a variety of platforms
- Preferred experience with Tableau or similar BI tool
- Analytical reasoning abilities, intellectual curiosity, and creativity in problem solving
- Interest in CI, primary research, and forecasting in the pharmaceutical space
- Interest in developing knowledge of commercial functions to expand and develop business acumen
- Ability to understand, analyze, and assimilate complex issues
- Ability to interact effectively with, and present verbally and in writing to, all levels of the organization

The base salary range for this role is $140,000 - $175,000. Each individual offer will be determined based on several factors, including your experience, qualifications, and location. Additionally, this role is eligible for both short-term and long-term bonuses, as outlined in the plan details.
