We seek motivated individuals looking to gain practical experience and exposure to a construction project for a paid internship program on the Bank Street Park project, funded through the NSW Government Women in Construction program and delivered by BESIX Watpac on behalf of Infrastructure NSW.
This three-month internship program has been established to support workforce development and create opportunities for women within the construction industry and provide participants with valuable hands-on experience, mentoring and insight into a range of career pathways available across the sector. Whether you are looking to begin your career in construction, transition from another industry, return to the workforce, or gain practical experience to complement your studies or existing skills, we encourage you to apply.
Successful applicants may be placed with BESIX Watpac or participating subcontractors and consultants engaged on the Bank Street Park project.
Job Description
Interns will work alongside experienced industry professionals and gain exposure to the delivery of a legacy infrastructure project.
You may be involved in:
- Project coordination and administration
- Construction planning and delivery
- Site operations and project support
- Design and consultant coordination
- Health, Safety and Environmental initiatives
- Stakeholder engagement and communications
- Project reporting and documentation
- Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
This internship will provide practical experience and an understanding of how construction projects are planned, managed and delivered.
Qualifications
Applications are welcomed from people of all experience levels who are passionate about building a career in the construction industry. Holding or obtaining a General Construction Induction Card (White Card) prior to commencing the internship will be mandatory.
